WALK. MATCH.™ Q&A
I often get asked why I built WALK MATCH and why did this get published first if I’ve got 5 about come out all in quick succession.
January is a HUGE month for 3 of the 5 new SaaS apps that I’ve designed and developed by vibe coding, and I’ve been running coaching classes on how you can do this too.
I’ve been running an experiment to find out which of these is the BEST vibe coding tool. I always try and tested many people who claim online they have achieved this have not. They have created basic MVP’s and not managed to get a real live site over the line…
Our coaching seesion is next session, is on Monday 2nd December 2026.
But I digress … I wanted to address this question I’m asked a LOT.
Q: Why did you build WALK MATCH™ first, before your other SaaS apps?
A: The honest answer is… because the need was screaming at me.
And the reason may not be what you think it is..
More and more, business owners and leaders I work with are running on empty. Overworked. Overwhelmed. Stressed to the max. Not moving their bodies. Not resting properly. And it shows up everywhere: in their health, their relationships, their decision?making and ultimately in their businesses.
My long sensory dog walks are what keep me sane. They clear my head, ground me and remind me to breathe. They’re my reset button when the world feels loud and relentless.
For me, my long sensory dog walks are a non-negotiable; they clear my head and keep me grounded. If it’s gym or the dog? The dog wins EVERY TIME!
Because if she doesn’t get out her daily walks it affects her anxiety levels and mine too.. I can only speak for myself on this topic so I did a bit more research into this as I wanted to know if it’s just me? Or can this be scientically proven. (If you know me, you will know I’m BIG on facts not hear say and like strategies based on “research” not just a hunch. Although my instincts,I believe it’s fair to say – Were absolutely spot on.
-
-
“Research suggests a high proportion of business owners report burnout, anxiety and loneliness.”?
-
“Regular movement such as 30 minutes of brisk walking is linked to better mood and lower stress.”?
-
“Several studies and surveys have raised concerns about loneliness, anxiety and changing patterns of socialising among younger adults, even as social media use has exploded.”?
-
Out of that, I created a simple life coaching framework I call it “Corrie D’s 5 M’s”:
-
Motivate – nudging ourselves (and others) to actually get out the door and walk more often.
-
Move – committing to move our bodies every day, aiming for at least 30 minutes of walking or similar activity.
-
Meditate – using the walk as moving mindfulness: breathing, noticing, letting the mental noise settle.
-
Manifest – using that clearer headspace to reconnect with goals, intentions and the future we actually want to create.
-
Marvel – deliberately paying attention to the everyday beauty around us that we usually rush past or take for granted.
In the last few years, I’ve heard so many people say things like “I wish I could still jog along the beach,” “I miss playing squash,” or “I’d love someone to play tennis with on a summer evening.” The pattern is hard to ignore: kids grow up, people get married, “nights out” become drinks at a bar, and somewhere along the way playful movement and real?world connection quietly disappear.
At the same time, there’s been an exponential rise in social media. We are more “connected” than ever on our phones, yet so many people report feeling lonely, anxious and disconnected in real life. Governments are starting to react too – for example, Australia has moved toward restricting social media access for under?16s on mental?health and safety grounds, reflecting how serious these concerns have become.?
WALK MATCH™ was built as a small, practical antidote to all of this. A way to help people find others to walk with, move their bodies more, and rebuild real?world connection – one walk, one conversation and one small act of self?care at a time.?
- Overworked.
- Overwhelmed.
- Stressed to the max.
- Not moving their bodies.
- Not resting properly.
And I GET it.
My long sensory dog walks are what keep me sane. They clear my head. They ground me. They remind me to breathe.
Corrie D’s 5 M’s walking story — personal practice backed by research. I’ve highlighted what current evidence supports my thoughts and claims.
Burnout in business owners
There is strong evidence that founders and small business owners experience high levels of stress, anxiety and burnout.
-
One survey of entrepreneurs found 87.7% struggle with at least one mental health issue, 50.2% with anxiety, 45.8% with high stress and 34.4% have experienced burnout, with 26.9% feeling lonely or isolated.?
-
Another recent compilation of studies reports that 42% of small business owners say they experienced burnout in the last month and 24% say they are currently experiencing it.?
?
Walking, movement and mental health
For me, my long sensory dog walks are what keep me sane, and practing my 5 M’s. Rsearch shows that even 30 minutes of brisk walking, especially in nature, can reduce stress and improve mood.
If you know me, you will know I base a lot of my coaching on reasearch to back up my thoughts, as my mental health keystone, and are fully defensible as a personal example, that I believe is good evidence for the underlying mechanisms that I use in my coaching programs.
-
Public health guidance and research commonly recommend about 30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity such as brisk walking on most days, which is associated with improved mood, reduced anxiety and stress, and better overall mental health.?
-
Studies show even a 10?minute brisk walk can increase mental alertness and positive mood, and walking in green environments appears to have additional benefits for wellbeing.?
?
Corrie D’s “5 M’s” (Motivate, Move, Meditate, Manifest, Marvel)
This is my coaching framework, inspired by my own experience and backed by research.
-
Motivate:
-
I’m out walking my dog daily she’s a working dog so needs long walks, so rain, hail or snow. I’m out there (even on those days when I really, REALLY cannot be bothered). But despite this, I always return from my walk feeling GREAT! Refreshed, invigorated and oftenj have epiphany moments on those walks. Compare this to other rare occassions if I don’t get out a walk I can feel my stress levels rising. So I want to use my own experiences to help others. As a form of self regulation, and self help but finding a walking partner to join me on a walk for one and half hours every day after 3 years of this is tough. And I’d rather walk with someone for a walk and talk. You can take our walking quiz to find out your walking style –
-
-
Move:
-
Regular physical activity, including daily walking, is associated with better mental health, lower anxiety, and higher energy; recommending at least 30 minutes of movement most days aligns with public health guidance.?
-
-
Meditate:
-
There is a large evidence base that mindfulness and meditation practices help reduce stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms and improve emotional regulation (you can refer to “decades of clinical research” without over?claiming specifics).
-
-
Manifest:
-
Here the evidence is more about goal?setting, future orientation and optimism than “manifestation” in a mystical sense. You can tie this to research on visualisation, hope and goal?clarity improving motivation and wellbeing, but avoid claiming that “manifesting” directly changes reality.
-
-
Marvel (awe in nature):
-
Research on time in nature and experiences of awe suggests benefits for mood, stress reduction and feelings of connection; walking in green spaces has been linked to better mental wellbeing than walking indoors.?
-
“My 5 M’s are my coaching framework, drawing on evidence that movement, mindfulness and time in nature support mental health, combined with mindset tools like visualisation and appreciation.”?
Social disconnection, loneliness and “less sex”
There is growing evidence that many adults and entrepreneurs feel lonely and isolated, and generational trends report:
- Several large surveys suggest younger adults today report fewer in?person social interactions and lower sexual activity than previous generations at the same age
-
A recent survey of entrepreneurs found 26.9% feel lonely or isolated, underlining that loneliness is a real issue in this group.?
-
More broadly, multiple studies in recent years have flagged rising loneliness and anxiety among young people and adults, and research has linked loneliness and anxiety with problematic smartphone/social media use in young adults.?
Social media, mental health and the Australia ban
My instincts about social media and teen mental health reflects a real public concern.
- Governments like Australia’s are moving toward banning or heavily restricting social media for under?16s, citing concerns about cyberbullying, predators and mental health harms, even though research still shows a mixed picture on how time on social media affects young people’s wellbeing.?
-
Researchers increasingly point to how and why young people use social media (for example, to cope with loneliness and anxiety) as more important than raw screen?time.”?
Behind the scenes, I’ve actually been quietly working away on 5 other SaaS platforms —
CV Upgrade AI – Live in BETA mode free for users to test it, see it here: www.cvupgradeai.com
Audito Protect AI™ is an AI-powered tool that helps SMEs by layering another layer of self scrutiny that accoutants do not offer, this is not a tool that repalces your accountant but that compliments an helps with another layer of self scrutiny when it comes to tax compliance for MTD. That one’s nearly ready to launch too… but because it handles financial data, it comes with a lot more rules, regulations, and red tape.
So here’s the truth ?
WALK. MATCH.™ simply finished first.
And when it was ready… I realised something.
I’d built it for people like me.
People who walk alone — but don’t want to.
No gym culture (unless you want it).
No pressure.
No forced groups.
No shouting instructors.
Just:
• Seeing who’s nearby
• Who wants to walk at your pace
• Or who’s up for the same activity as you
Whether that’s:
• A casual dog walk
• A beach stroll
• A 5-a-side football match
• A four-ball round of golf
• Or even skiing or snowboarding
I designed WALK. MATCH.™ so everyone — including FREE members — gets access to our Live Message / Noticeboard, with safety and privacy built in from day one.
Because movement should feel human, not intimidating.

Many, many things.
APP 4 Digital Pulse™ AI
PROTOTYPE/R&D social listening concept (built again with privacy-first).
Currently in the “let’s see if this works” phase overcoming lots of rules and regs for this one.
Journey & Traffic App™ – IN DEVELOPMENT: route-specific traffic & weather updates. For those of us tired of generic “there’s traffic somewhere” alerts that you’re nowhere near where you can plan your journey/routes in advance without scouring multiple websites for overnight road closures, traffic jams during peek times and unwanted hassle when all you want is to get to a meeting, stress and hassle free and arrive on time or go snowboarding, climb a mountain or a munro. Rest and be thankful! Without any nightmares or landslides en-route to adventuring in the stunning Scottish Highlands.
Also hit 18 business & coaching awards in 14 years, including a global AI award. Plus built 5 SaaS apps in 3 months. Not bad for someone who once thought “coding” was a typo.
AND THEN ON BLACK FRIDAY A META BOT SENT ME INTO A SPIRAL – BOOM!!!
META Banned
On Black Friday (because of course it was Black Friday and unbeknown to me FB bots are out of control looking for bots/spammers/scammers) and sadly they made a mistake and think I’m a bot!
Meta decided to gift me with:
X A banned personal profile
X Nuked business pages
X Deleted ad accounts
X Years of audience building: poof
X Thousands in ad spend: vanished
X 30+ groups: gone
All thanks to an AI META bot mistake – with zero meaningful human review.
The irony? I’m literally building AI apps that are designed to enhance humans, not replace them.
Turns out platform dependency isn’t just risky — it’s playing Russian roulette with a robot holding the gun.
But guess what….? I’m bouncing Back!
As Tony Robbins one of my coaches and mentors says: “A new level equals another devil!
And Eileen Wilder mentions this too before progress comes chaos. Always.
Here’s what an HMRC audit and a Meta ban teach you: Own your sh*t.
Own your platforms. Own your data. Own your audience. Own your future.
As Dean Graziosi one of my other mentors and coaches says “It’s on ME!!!”
And our old “we’ll just run your ads for you” model? It’s dying faster than my patience during my audit.
The Not-So-Pretty Bits:
- HMRC audit was/is stressful (understatement of the year), but a massive wake-up call how exposed UK SMEs are as MTD approaches, and I’m organised! So I dread to think how impactful MTD is going to be for biz owners who aren’t. My Ai SaaS web/app offers another layer of self-scrutiny to help with compliance, that accountants do not offer. This is not designed to replace accountants this is not a self serve tax platform this compliments what accountants do.
- AI builds weren’t always smooth — buggy code, broken platforms, and me yelling “WHY WON’T YOU WORK?!” Cost time = Money, and taught me valuable lessons
- Turns out building 5 SaaS apps in the third and final quarter of the year, all while running a business is… ambitious. Who knew? ?
What’s Coming in 2026
- Doubling down on designig AI web/apps and coaching SME’s how to do this DIY.
- High Growth Lab — Teaching AI inc apps & automations, online courses on demand, AI workflows, and group plus 1:1 coaching.
- MBS platform emails, mailshots my warm list and funnels, to reduce platform risk.
- Helping UK companies to prep for MTD & HMRC scrutiny. Because nobody else should have to learn this like I did, the hard way.
- Building a fully owned ad & data ecosystem across my own platforms. Zuck-proof, bot-proof, me-proof.
Treating AI like a second MBA — £850,000+ invested so far in my 35 year career with world-class coaching. My motto and I learned this from my Mum. If you’re going to do something, anything do it properly (or spectacularly, no in-between). If anything is worth doing its worth doing it right but I am also a great believer that you don’t wait til its perfect – GET it out there something is ALWAYS better than nothing. Progress over perfection. Throw yourself out the plane and grow your wings on the way down is a brilliant saying I will never forget from Dean Graziosi.
And here’s where I can help you with your next move..
Your Move
If you’re a business owner tired of:
Platform risk (looking at you, Meta ?)
Outdated “just boost it” marketing models
Being one algorithm change away from disaster
Not understanding what MTD means but knowing it sounds expensive
…and you want to build AI-driven systems, own your tech stack, and future-proof your business in 2026 too?
Drop “LAB” in the comments or DM me.
Let’s build something the bots can’t ban.
P.S. – Yes, I’m still slightly bitter about the Meta thing. Working through it. Therapeutically. By building more apps.
